Petition for Peace and Humanitarian Relief for the Middle East

Suggested message to send to your elected representatives in Washington, DC.

Dear [Name of Representative,]

I am writing to express my deep concern over the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, specifically in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The situation in this region has reached a critical point, and it is imperative that the U.S. take immediate action and call for a:

End Military Aid to Israel: I request that the United States cease military aid to Israel. It is being used to slaughter Palestinian children, women and men and commit other human rights violations and war crimes. I cannot support actions that contravene our values and international law.

Ceasefire! De-escalate! The massacring must stop now! The rising death toll and destruction are catastrophic.  Authentic and genuine diplomatic dialogue must become the primary means of resolving disputes.

Humanitarian Corridor and Protection: Establish a humanitarian corridor for the safe passage of civilians in Gaza and the West Bank, with clear and enforceable protections against violence and displacement. The corridor should be monitored by an independent body to ensure that all parties comply with their obligations under international law.

Safe Return of Hostages: Demand the immediate and safe return of all hostages being held in Gaza.

I implore you to take decisive action to break the cycle of slaughtering the Palestinian people. The and genocide of the Palestinian people must not be hidden. Demand a just and equitable peace that respects justice and values all humanity.

Sincerely,
